Dear teachers and schoolmates, good morning. Today our topic is “Cheers make life more distinguished”.
Cheering is to encourage and praise others. Sometimes simple words like “I believe you can make it” can give endless strength and faith to our desperate classmate. Sometimes a short sentence praise, like “Well done”, can give our classmate the impetus to move on and pursue perfection.
Cheering is a kind of attitude of behaving. There are countless poems cheering for others by ancient Chinese poets and a large number of famous lines than have been passed on till now are among them. If they had all been arrogant and ignored the achievements of others, the colorful culture of ancient China would never have existed. Because of their modesty, the culture of Chinese poems lasted long. Cheering for others is the best way to show one’s virtues and tolerance. Cheering for others re-improves their self-cultivation. These cheers, which are everlasting in the history of literature, tell us that cheering for others will be a gesture of wisdom.
Not only should we cheer for others, but for ourselves as well. Cheering for ourselves is a way to encourage ourselves. During our growth, we may face difficulties and get into trouble. They may shake our wills or frustrate our persistence. This is the time when we should cheer for ourselves. Actually, if we try our best to overcome the difficulties, it will be great achievement. We should cheer for ourselves no matter how trivial the effect is. We may not be outstanding at school and common in class, but we are all making contributions doing our own duties and fighting for our dreams. This is worth our cheers. It is said that “Confidence is an attitude that we admit our commonness while proving our greatness.” In my opinion, cheering for ourselves is also an attitude of tolerance, confidence and diligence.
Dear schoolmates, let’s learn to cheer. Clap our hands and echo our spirits. Cheer for others and for ourselves with a view to a more distinguished lifetime.
